Amazing Dairy & Egg-Free French Toast

French toast has always been a common breakfast food. You won't be disappointed with this vegan treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Vanilla Almond Milk
  • ¼ cup Chickpea or Garbanzo Bean Flour
  • 1 Tbsp Maple Syrup
  • ½ tsp Cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp Nutmeg
  • ½ tsp Vanilla
  • ½ tsp Nutritional Yeast (optional)
  • Coconut Oil
  • 6 slices Honey Whole Wheat Bread (Link to recipe above)

Instructions

  • Combine all batter ingredients and whisk well, breaking up any large chunks of flour. Pour into shallow dish.
  • Preheat coconut oil in skillet, covering bottom.
  • Soak bread in batter mixture, 1 slice at a time, coating each side.
  • Cook each slice in oil, turning to get both sides nice, golden brown, and crisp.
